About Me

The official version:

Laura is from a sleepy village in Bedfordshire, England. She likes Earl Grey tea, pugs, reading ALL the books she can get her hands on, dance parties and Aidan Turner.

The chatty version:

Hey, I’m Laura and I am twenty-six years old which is bonkers, because inside I’m 14 and still doodling ‘I HEART ORLANDO BLOOM’ in my notebooks.

I’ve loved writing ever since I was a kid. Seriously, I remember reading that J.K Rowling ‘wrote’ her first novel, Rabbit, at age 7 and thinking ‘I’ve got to catch up with her!’ I’ve been story-catching ever since. My forever dream is to be a writer. I’ve been lucky enough to write for a couple of awesome magazines, but my heart lies with fiction. Especially middle grade fiction.

I really really like books, making fun of movies, cats & laughing until I snort with my friends.

Other things I love:

sunsets, reading by the fire, my dog, taking photos, Parks&Recreation, dairy milk chocolate bars, hugs with my mum, long walks, dancing, 30 Rock, fireworks, Christmas all year round, Tim Burton films, The Goldbergs, baking cakes, the rain (I’m British, it’s kind of mandatory), Gilmore Girls, London, visiting museums, seeing music live, Pushing Daisies, Peggy Carter, everything Adele has ever done/said, lie ins, Pitch Perfect, friends, tea, red lipstick, flicky eyeliner, J. K Rowling, pretty notebooks and candles.

  2. Hello! I have just found your blog….I too live in Bedfordshire and have Hypermobility. My life was normal, then 4 years ago I turned 30 and it all went wrong. Luckily I have come out the other side but with restrictions that I didn’t have before. Who knew a day out shopping could be so painful? Anyway, I just thought I would say hi, I love reading too so am going to check out your suggestions. I never expected to find a fellow Bedfordshire blogger with hypermobility too! x

    1. Oh wow — small world! My story is pretty similar, up until 2 years ago I was ‘normal’. Yay you for coming out the other side of it– I know how hard that is! Thank you so much for stopping by! 😀
