about me

An image of Laura Noakes' head and shoulders. Her hair is down and wavy, and she is almost smiling at the camera.

Laura Noakes is an Earl Grey Tea devotee + book lover. By day, she works at the best named museum in Scotland, The Devil’s Porridge Museum, and by night she writes stories. She lives in Carlisle with her fiancé and her feisty feline, Scout (photo below for reference). She is repped by Lydia Silver of Darley Anderson Children’s Agency. Her debut novel, COSIMA STEALS A STAR, will be published by HarperCollins Children’s Books in June 2023.

  2. Hello! I have just found your blog….I too live in Bedfordshire and have Hypermobility. My life was normal, then 4 years ago I turned 30 and it all went wrong. Luckily I have come out the other side but with restrictions that I didn’t have before. Who knew a day out shopping could be so painful? Anyway, I just thought I would say hi, I love reading too so am going to check out your suggestions. I never expected to find a fellow Bedfordshire blogger with hypermobility too! x

    1. Oh wow — small world! My story is pretty similar, up until 2 years ago I was ‘normal’. Yay you for coming out the other side of it– I know how hard that is! Thank you so much for stopping by! 😀
