stay at home book tag

Hi everyone! Given that we’re all still in lockdown in the UK, it is an ABSOLUTELY perfect time to do this tag. It was created by KymisanReads and I saw it on Amy’s blog! If you are bored at home (like me), then PLEASE consider yourself tagged–it’s a lot of fun.

Laying in Bed | book you could/have read in a day

I read GOOD GIRL, BAD BLOOD in one day. It was amazing, I have no regrets, and I ended up crying quietly in bed after finishing it. IT WAS THAT GOOD. If you want to read more about my thoughts, check out my review here.

Snacking | guilty pleasure book

I agree with Amy here–are any books *really* guilty pleasures? I prefer to call them comfort reads, and the ones I always reach for Agatha Christie when I’m feeling in need of a hug in the form of a book.

Netflix | series you want to start

I’ve had ESCAPE FROM MR. LEMENCELLO’S LIBRARY on my shelf for ages, and it looks like a really fun middle grade series so I’m definitely hoping to start it soon.

Deep Clean | been on your TBR for ages

According to my Goodreads, these are the books that have been on my to-read shelf the longest:

Animal Crossing | book you recently brought because of hype

I recently pre-ordered DEATH SETS SAIL, the final book in the MURDER MOST UNLADYLIKE series. It’s got a lot of (well deserved) hype, and I can’t wait to read Daisy and Hazel’s final adventure!

Productivity | book you learnt or had an impact on you

This beauty. I learnt A TONNE. I immediately lent it to my grandpa.

Facetime | a book you were gifted

My lovely mum got me THE BOOK OF DUST: THE SECRET COMMONWEALTH for Christmas. *I really need to read it ASAP.*

Self-care | what is the one thing you’ve done recently to look after yourself

I recently started doing embroidery and OHMYGOSH it is a relaxing and satisfying hobby perfect for whiling away the lockdown evenings.

Bonus | name a book coming out soon

THE UNADOPTABLES by Hana Tooke. I’ve gushed about this book a lot. It’s incredible.

I hope you are all staying safe, and staying upbeat in this scary time!

  1. Good Girl, Bad Blood is very probably going to be one of my next reads, and I’m so excited for the Unadoptables coming out in July. Loved reading your answers 💜
