Hi friends. I’ve spent the last nearly three weeks stuck indoors playing animal crossing: new horizons at every available moment. SO, when I spotted a book tag about said game on Books-and-Dachshunds blog I knew I had to do it immediately.
Here are the rules:
- credit & tag Kristina @ Books and Dachshunds if you choose do it!
- tag other Animal Crossing fans!
have fun!
New Villagers: New-to-You Author You Want to Read Soon
I received Labyrinth Lost by Zoraida Cordova a few days ago and I can’t wait to read it! I haven’t read anything by Zoraida before, and her latest book Incendiary is a historical fantasy set in 15th century SPAIN!!!
Dodo Airlines: Book that Made You Travel to Other Parts of the World
Romanov by Nadine Brandes. It’s a gorgeous alternate historical-fantasy about the Romanovs–the family who ruled Russia and were (in reality) killed by revolutionaries after the Tsar was deposed in 1918.
Deserted Island: Pick Three Books You’d Go to a Deserted Island With!
Nook Phone: Favorite Book You’ve Read as an eBook or Audiobook
I’m not a big eBook or Audiobook fan right now, but the most recent book I read on my kindle app is London Lore: the Legends and Traditions of the World’s Most Vibrant City. It’s a fascinating look at the UK’s capital city and its history!
Toe Beans: Your Favorite Pet/Creature From a Book
Cosmo from I, Cosmo is a loyal, adorable family dog who just wants to protect his brother Max. I really enjoy reading books from an animal’s perspective + this was done so well–down to Cosmo’s love of pilfering food from his family.
Evolution: The Most Memorable Character Growth
I found Xifeng’s character growth in Forest of a Thousand Lanterns FASCINATING. Reading a character who is based on a fairytale character who’s ending you know is v interesting. Also Julie Dao wrote Xifeng in such a complex and subtle way!
I tag…
BTW, if you’re playing animal crossing, please feel free to add me as a friend. Here’s my friend code:
Ahh thank you so much for doing my little tag! xx
OH! I gotta add “I, Cosmo” to my virtual wanna read – I love when dogs are taken as actual character in the stories, and written as their POV is even better !
