I saw this tag on one of my fav blogs (SERIOUSLY, go follow her!), Amy at Golden Books Girl. It seemed like so much fun, and I’m still in the New Years spirit so I decided to do it. This was originally created by Cristina at My Tiny Obsessions.
I rung in the New Year by going to a party. It was fun. I drunk some wine, danced the night away, and (of course) took my current read–THE BOOK OF DUST by Philip Pullman.
Here come the Q’s:
Q1: BEST BOOK/SERIES THAT I’VE READ IN 2017
Q2: AUTHORS THAT I’VE RECENTLY FOUND AND WOULD LIKE TO READ MORE OF IN THE NEW YEAR
Emma Carroll, MG historical fiction extraordinaire, and author of the upcoming SKYCHASERS, and Frances Hardinge, writer of the weird and wonderful.
Q3: MOST ANTICIPATED BOOK TURNED MOVIE?
Q4: NAME A CHARACTER THAT YOU WOULDN’T MIND SHARING A KISS WITH AT MIDNIGHT (IF THERE IS ONE)
guys, I think it’s time to admit that I have a thing for Bill Weasley.
Q5: WHAT’S ON MY TBR FOR 2018?
Q6: HOW MANY BOOKS DO YOU HOPE TO READ IN 2017?
I think I’m gonna set my goal at 50 this year! (I read 142 last year, but this year I want to focus on taking my time, reader longer tomes and re-reading favourites).
Q7: WILL YOU PARTICIPATE IN THE GOODREADS READING CHALLENGE (OR ANY OTHERS)?
I will participate in the Goodreads challenge, but not any others (coz I’m not that organised). I do want to do some readathons this year!
Q8: ANY NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS? (BOOKISH AND OTHERWISE)
Yes indeedy–I have 3. To check them out see my blogpost here.
WHAT I’M ONE OF YOUR FAVOURITE BLOGGERS? That is a huge honour, I adore your posts! 😭
WLTGO was a fave for me too, and I am SO spurring you on to read more Emma Carroll, she is a queen of kidlit. I’ve also had pleasure of Eye of the North already, and it was great. Is Brightstorm on your radar btw?
Amy xx
OF COURSE YOU ARE! Yess, I just finished Sky Chasers and was blown away! I’m mid way through Eye of the North at the mo, and I am LOVING it so far! And yes, Brightstorm looks amazing!
I really want to read some Frances Hardinge’ and the Bear and the Nightingale! Another one I want to read that those two always remind me of is the Night Brother. They all have such lovely dark and colourful cover art. Also, a Wrinkle in Time… I know of it but had no idea it was becoming a film! I am so hyped to see a redhead lady! Cannot believe you read 142 books last year! That’s insane! I think I did about 56 in the end, which I was a record for me. Lovely post! X
