HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Last year, I had three goals, and I achieved two of them, which I’m PRETTY darn pleased about. (Although, IMO you can never read too many books). This year my goals are a little more specific.
1 // Get a Tattoo

So, this is the goal that I didn’t get to in 2017, so I’m carrying it over to the new year! I’m hoping that this will be the year that I FINALLY get inked. All I want is a small lil literary inspired tatt, although I kinda need to narrow down my ideas a bit further than that. Lack of funds was the main reason why I didn’t get tatted in 2017, so I’m gonna start putting money aside each month in order to get this goal checked off in 2018!
2 // Write a Book
ANY BOOK. I wanna come up with an idea, plot it (briefly, coz ya’ll know I’m a pantster!), and write it down. On a laptop. With my cat.
3 // Pass Probation!
As you probably know, coz I go on about it all the time, I started my PhD in October. I’m looking at the relationship between early female lawyers & women’s suffrage and it is SO MUCH FUN. But at the end of my first year, I have to pass a thing called probation in order to progress to the second year of my study. So, yeah, that’s my third goal of the year.
So that’s it, those are my goals for the new year! I quite like limiting myself to three goals — it makes me feel more focused and specific with my aims! Have you got any goals for 2018? What are they?
Wow! I’m impressed that you’re doing a PhD. I started one but then decided if I didn’t teach I’d regret it! Maybe one day I’ll pick it up again…
These are wonderful goals; best of luck with your PhD! Look forward to see where your blog goes in 2018
Your brothers tattoo is so nice! Iβm looking at getting another one this year but itβs so hard when you have so many ideas and not enough skin π good luck with your probation and book writing π
What tattoo ideas were you thinking of, if you don’t mind me asking. I’m just curious π
What PhD are you doing?
Good luck with your PhD and your book π sounds like a busy year for you π
THANK YOU!! I def want a literary/book tattoo! And my PhD is on the links between early female lawyers and the suffrage movement.
