Reading Slumps & Dislocated Knees

I never thought that I would write a blog post with ‘dislocated knee’ in the title but unfortunately I did dislocate my knee last week. It sucks by the way. I’m quite squeamish about the whole thing and it’s painful and scary & I’m on crutches & I kind of feel like my entire life has been put on hold. Did I mention it sucks?

This moves me on to the other part of this post. A reading slump. Now I generally have a ma-ho-ssive reading slump after a holiday because I over-read (This year I read 10 books) but the reading slump has gone on and on and on and with my knee at the moment I feel like I cannot concentrate on reading, even with my massive TBR pile.

This led me to do some serious damage online book shopping this week, in the hope I’d get a book that would pull me out of my slump.

hhh

The books I got were:

The Graveyard Book Graphic Novel by Neil Gaiman & P. Craig Russell

Sapphire Blue by Kerstin Gier

A Tangle of Knots by Lisa Graff

The Only Thing Worse Than Witches by Lauren Magaziner

I am hoping that one of these lovely books pulls me out of my reading slump. I hope you guys are having a lovely day and hopefully I will be back to normal soon!!
