I finally finished my second year exams last week. It’s crazy that this time next year I will be done with University and be ready to face the real adult world! But, to be quite honest I am trying not to think about that. I am just looking forward to de-stressing and enjoying the summer ahead.

I took part in Bout-of-Books 10.0 last week, and as usual had a really great time doing so. I didn’t reach ANY of my goals, but I’ve put that down to post-exam brain melt. I will hopefully be getting a wrap-up video on my YouTube channel in the next few days.

Although I didn’t meet my goals for Bout of Books I am still really, really excited about my current TBR pile. There are some books on there that I have been meaning to read for so long, and I cannot wait to get started without the added pressure of uni to make me put a book down.

I also want to spend the summer writing. After having a week off, doing absolutely nothing writing-wise, and just reading through everything I’ve done I am hopefully starting draft 2 of my current WIP today, and boy have I got a lot of work to do. That is simultaneously exciting and daunting. I haven’t touched it since January, and I am hoping that draft 2 will be done before September rolls around. I am also hoping to participate in CampNaNoWriMo this July, which is like the fun crazy cousin of the November NaNoWriMo. I am so so excited about this years project, it’s kind of a historical, fantasy, fairytale, steampunk-ish MG book that is nothing like I’ve ever done before!

Finally, I want to blog more over summer. I know I’ve been VERY bad with blogging lately (blame exams) but I enjoy it so much. I love reading book/writing blogs so much and I love reading comments & writing comments. Blogging is my release, and I cannot wait to get back into it!
