Bout of Books Read-a-thon Day 2

Mondays Roundup

Number of books read today: 0

Total number of books read: 0

Number of pages read: 209

Time spent listening to audiobooks: 1 hour

I am pretty pleased with that total – I’m 209 pages into the Order of the Phoenix, and listened to an hour of Mansfield Park last night. Today I am hoping to get started on The BFG and continue with HP and Mansfield Park. Anyway, on with the challenges!

Tuesday Challenges

The first challenge today is hosted by Sarah Says Read  and it’s called Reading Tactics! All us participants have to do is answer a question.

How do you fit in as much reading as possible during Bout of Books? How do you squeeze in those extra pages?

I fit as much reading in as possible by reading wherever I go – on the train, in the bath, waiting for a doctors appointment. I love listening to audiobooks when I am doing homework or tidying or doing something that I can’t do whilst holding a book. I think also by making an effort not to watch TV in the evening, and instead picking up a book is how I’ll squeeze in those extra pages!

The second challenge today comes from Geeky Bloggers Book Blog and is called the Cast Your Book Challenge. The rules are easy – you pick your favourite book and cast a radio show for it.

Now,  my favourite book changes on a almost daily basis but today I’m going to go for…The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland on a Ship of Her Own Making by Cat Valente

For September I would cast…

Elle Fanning – mainly because I think her voice has that innocent quality that September has.

For A-Through-L (The Wyvern) I would cast…

Benedict Cumberbatch – although not as his Smaug voice, that would be COMPLETELY wrong for Ell – for his Sherlock voice!

For the Marquess I would cast…

A younger Helena Bonham Carter – I think she would be great at capturing the Marquesses brand of evil!

And finally for Saturday I would cast…

Thomas Sangster – because I think he will portray Saturdays chronic shyness brilliantly!

That is it for my Tuesday update! How did your Monday go?
