Top Ten Tuesday: The Top Ten sequels I can’t wait to get my hands on!

  1. Ruin and Rising (The Grisha #3) by Leigh Bardugo – This series is one of the best YA fantasy books I’ve ever read. It’s written so well and the twists are SHOCKING. I am so, so, so excited to read the next book!
  2. Cress (Lunar Chronicles #3) by Marissa Meyer – I LOVED Cinder, I may have loved Scarlett even more and I cannot wait for the next book in the series to come out.
  3. The Blood of Olympus (Heroes of Olympus #5) by Rick Riordan – OH MY GOD, this series is just getting better and better. Book #4 has just come out but I already NEED book #5.
  4. Dreams of Gods and Monsters (Daughter of Smoke and Bone #3) by Laini Taylor – I am really looking forward to seeing where this series goes – Karou is developing into such a cool character.
  5. Shadow Scale (Seraphina #2) by Rachel Hartman – So Seraphina blew me away. Beautifully written and with such an original take on dragons I am so happy there is a second book!
  6. Lair of Dreams (The Diviners #2) – I loved the Diviners so much, I think I annoyed everyone for being completely obsessed with the 1920’s for the entire time I was reading it. And the Lair of Dreams? That is an amazing title!
  7. Fairyland book #4 by Catherynne Valente – One of my favourite series, I love September and I want MORE!
  8. Hollow City (Miss Peregrine #2) by Ransom Riggs – Again, amazing title that intrigues me so much. I’m really looking forward to it!
  9. The City of Heavenly Fire (The Mortal Instruments #6) by Cassandra Clare – Okay, so I haven’t quite caught up on the last three books of TMI, but after reading The Infernal Devices I am really excited for the last book in the series so I can catch up in one go!
  10. Untitled (The Raven Cycle #3) by Maggie Stiefvater – Again I haven’t quite read the second book yet ( I know – I am a very bad book blogger but I am saving it for Xmas!) but I loved the first one and can’t wait to find out how this series ends!

  1. EEEEE SO MANY SO MANY SO MANY I CAN’T EVEN

I’ve got Dreams and Gods and Monsters on my list too!! Love the metallic touch to the cover, hints to all the dealings brewing in Karou’s world… Honeslty Laini Taylor’s books don’t only reach up to my expectations. She stomps them over in a steamroller! =D Now I must get on to reading Siege and Storm, Books 2-5 of TMI, The Diviners, The Raven Boys etc. etc. etc. As they always say: SO MANY BOOKS, SO LITTLE TIME!!

Which would you recommend I read first? Since the sequels are all on your TTT list, I’m assuming they’re all going to be AMAZING EEE *EXCITED*

    1. Aha I know!! WAY too many books! I have to say Siege and Storm was AMAZING – it blew me away – I’d definitely recommend that first. I am SO SO SO excited for Dreams of Gods and Monsters – I can’t wait to see what happens!

  2. I am super excited for The Diviners sequel!! I wish the cover was better, but I guess it doesn’t really matter bc I am SO reading it when it comes out. I also have Hollow City on my list this week. I liked the first book ok and wasn’t really planning on continuing with the series… but then I got curious about this new book. I want to see more odd pictures and find out what happens to the kids even if there is icky grandfather ex-girlfriend love going on.

    My TTT

    1. Aha me too – I am SO excited to read the second book and get back into the twenties spirit! Yeah I was a bit mixed on Miss Peregrine but for some reason I am just so curious about what happens next!!

  3. Cress is on all the lists today. I’d better catch up and read Scarlet! Some day ill start Cassandra Clare’s books like everyone tells me I should. 🙂
