Wehay its Top Ten Tuesday again. Ten Tuesday is a brilliant book meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish and this week its the best books we have read so far in 2013.
- The Cavendish Home for Boys and Girls by Claire Legrand – This book is so creepy and scary and cool – I LOVED it and am so excited for Claire’s next offering.
- The Peculiar by Stefan Bachmann – fairies and steampunk? YES PLEASE. Beautifully written. Great world building. I am so excited for the next book.
- The Diviners by Libbra Bray – Its a paranormal fantasy set in 1920’s New York. Need I say more?
- Seraphina by Rachel Hartman – Dragons and princes and politics and amazing world building and great writing. What else do you need?
- Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo – A twisting turning plot plus kick ass man character plus awesome magic plus hot boys plus cool Russia inspired world equals book perfection.
- AND Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo – STILL PERFECT!
- Requiem by Lauren Oliver – great conclusion to one of my favourite YA series by one of my favourite authors
- Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater – Beautiful writing, well developed characters and a paranormal mystery.
- The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman – SO SO good. Monsters and magic and mysteries.
- Cinder by Marissa Meyer – a fairy-tale with the coolest twist yet. I NEED to read Scarlett pronto.
Great list. I must read Requiem soon, I loved the rest of the series. I need to also start Shadow and Bone. I’ve just added The Cavendish Home for Boys and Girls to my TBR list!
Thanks! I loved Cavendish – it’s very Roal Dahl-ish! 🙂
The Ocean at the End of the Lane is on my TBR asap list! 🙂 I also keep stumbling across Cinder on these TTT lists so that may have to be checked out too.
Cinder is SO good! I definitely recommend it! As is Ocean! 🙂
Yay for S&B and S&S, they made my Top Ten this week, too 😀

They certainly do 😀
Quite a few among there that I had never heard of! And the others are books I’ve heard of but haven’t read yet, nice list!

Scarlet was so awesome! I still need to read Requiem (my library hasn’t gotten it in yet) and Shadow and Bone. Great picks! Thanks for stopping by 🙂

I want to check out Cinder. I haven’t heard of most of the books on your list, but they sound good!
Cinders really really good – especially if you like fairy tales
I want to get my hands on Siege and Storm, but it just hasn’t happened yet. I really enjoyed the ending of the Requiem too. I thought it was well done.
Yes me too – I can’t imagine the pressure she was under to please everyone! 🙂
I haven’t read any of the books you’ve mentioned, but I do have Shadow & Bone, Siege & Storm, and The Diviners on my to-read list!
I want to read the Diviners 🙂
I love so many of these! The Diviners, Raven Boys, Shadow and Bone, Siege and Storm, Cinder! I’ve been meaning to read the first one and the second one sounds great. Great list!
