Top Ten Tuesday: The Top Ten Books on My Summer TBR List

toptentuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a brilliant book meme  hosted by The Broke and the Bookish and this week its the top ten books on my summer TBR list.

  1. Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman – I am double-y excited for this book because I was lucky enough to see Mr Gaiman speak last night in London. It was such a great event and I also managed to get my hands on a signed copy! I CANNOT wait to start reading this book!
  2. Days of Blood and Starlight by Laini Taylor – loved the first book, will be reading the second this summer!
  3. Legend by Marie Lu – I am a little late on this one, but Marie Lu’s book sounds so cool and right up my street!
  4. The Casual Vacancy by J. K Rowling – has being sitting unread on my shelf for FAR too long!
  5. Beautiful Chaos…
  6. AND Beautiful Redemption by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl – Loved the first two books – I NEED to complete this series!
  7. Scarlett by Marissa Meyer – Cinder was REALLY good, and I mean REALLY REALLY good. Scarlett is right at the top of my TBR pile!
  8. A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness – This book looks creepy and beautiful – my kind of book!
  9. A Clash of Kings by George R. R Martin – I also really need to get into the TV show – It looks so damn good!
  10. The Girl with Glass Feet by Ali Shaw – looks like a beautiful fairytale-esque story!

What books are on your TBR pile this summer?

  1. The Game of Thrones series are on my extra-long TBR list. I’ll admit I had trouble narrowing down this week’s topic to just 10.

  2. I still have A Casual Vanancy on my shelf, unread, since November… I really should get started on that, shouldn’t I?

  3. I need to read Scarlet too. And Legend. And the first in the series for some of the books you listed like Daughter of Smoke and Bone and Beautiful Creatures. Guess what I’m doing this summer lol. Great list 😀

  4. Scarlet was an awesome sequel to Cinder! Meyer does an excellent job at balancing multiple POVs, and the new characters are all great. Happy reading!

  5. I keep considering reading the Casual Vacancy, so although it isn’t on my list, it is on my radar! I am also curious about anything Marissa Meyer.
