Why is this year going so fast?? I CANNOT believe we are already in March! It’s crazy. I had a rather interesting February. For the first two weeks I was struck down with a horrible cold/throat infection and then last week I had surgery! However, been ill meant I had a tonne of time for reading so I got through quite a lot of books! Yay!
February Summary 🙂
As part of my challenge to read out of my comfort zone this year I decided to pick up John Green’s highly hyped The Fault in Our Stars and absolutely loved it!! I don’t normally read books like TFIOS but I definitely will in the future! Review here
On a very long train journey I devoured The Peculiar – it is one of the best fairy inspired books I have read for ages. It was AMAZING, and I am so excited for the sequel!! Mini Review here
Although The Spindlers didn’t quite match up to Liesel and Po for me I still really enjoyed and I cannot wait till Requiem is released!!! Review here
Really enjoyed The Mysterious Benedict Society- definitely will be getting my hands on the others in this series soon!!! Mini Review here
I still have mixed feelings about the boy in striped pyjama’s – I can see where the more negative reviews are coming from, but I also quite enjoyed the book itself!! Definitely one that makes you think! Review here
Creepy, haunting, middle grade book that was beautifully written!! Loved Gustav and Fernie!! Mini Review here
The Diviners made me desperate for New York and a Flapper Dress!! Review here
Seraphina was BREATHTAKING!! Stunning debut story!! Review here
I have also just finished Cinder so expect a review soon!!!
I have got to start revising in March so I am only aiming to read a book a week!! (Although that might change!!)
- American Gods by Neil Gaiman – I got this from the library a week ago and I am dying to start reading this!!
- Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen – I NEED to finally finish this – my classic book reading isn’t going that well this year!!
- Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion – As soon as I am able to travel I will see the movie as well!!!
- Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater – It just looks so good!!
So that is it for my February summary post!! I hope you’ve enjoyed it!!
