Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Auto-Buy Authors!

Top Ten Tuesday is a bookish meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Every week we list a top ten of book related things! And this week is especially special because its Books, Writing, Tea’s 100th post!!! Woop! This week it is the Top Ten authors we automatically buy, so lets get started.

  1. Neil Gaiman – No surprise here, Neil Gaiman is one of my absolute favourite authors!! I think his work is beautiful, imaginative and original and I will be rushing out to get Ocean at the end of the Lane when it comes out this June!
  2. Catherynne Valente – I’m a massive fan of her Fairyland books, and I am itching to get her new wild west inspired snow white novel,  Six Gun Snow White.
  3. J. K Rowling – Author of HP, Queen of Cool, I will always buy her books.
  4. Rick Riordan – His work always puts a smile on my face!
  5. Terry Pratchett – I am VERY disappointed that I haven’t managed to read a Discworld book so far this year! Hilarious and always on point, I love Terry’s work.
  6. Lauren Oliver – Although I wasn’t blown away by The Spindlers, I loved Liesl and Po, and the Delirium series and Lauren Oliver’s writing is AMAZING! Always hauntingly beautiful and drool worthy.
  7. Lemony Snicket – He is funny and sarcastic and always entertaining!
  8. Tina Fey – Her memoir was AMAZING! Funny and insightful and is anyone else still bitter that 30 Rock has ended??
  9. Rachel Hartman – After recently finishing her superb debut Seraphina, I am eying up her next book with eager anticipation!! CAN’T WAIT
  10. Stefan Bachmann – Ditto everything I’ve just said about Rachel Hartman plus he’s younger then me! I am slightly (MONSTEROUSLY) envious of his talent!

Yay, so that is Top Ten Tuesday for this week!! And as this is my 100th post on this blog I would just like to thank everyone that has followed me, commented on, liked or just looked at my little blog, it means a tonne!!

Laura 🙂

  1. Hooray for Rick Riordan and Neil Gaiman! I recently started Discworld, and while I wasn’t that impressed with the first book, I really enjoyed the second. Great list!
