Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Its basically a list of top tens and this week is the top ten books we’ve read since starting blogging. Now I haven’t being blogging long, but I definitley have a top ten!

  1. Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll (Review here ) – Crazy, imaginative, bonkers mad and excellently written this book was brilliant!
  2. The Girl who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making by Catherynne M. Valente (Review here )- quirky, brilliant and with a fiesty female lead, I love this book.
  3. The Book Thief by Marcus Zusak ( Review here ) – moving and emotionally charged.
  4. The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern ( Review here )- Magical and Character led
  5. The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman (Review here )- One of the best childrens books I have ever read.
  6. Stardust by Neil Gaiman (Review here ) – Neil Gaiman is one of my favourite authors and Starduct is a great book.
  7. How to be a woman by Caitlin Moran (Review here ) – A great memoir, really insightful.
  8. Miss Peregines Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs (Review here ) – A intriguing fantasy tale
  9. Coraline by Neil Gaiman (Review here ) – Another Neil Gaiman (I’m beginning to look a bit stalkerish!) but such a great book

  1. Still working on Alice in Wonderland… I’ve hit a bit of a slump, you could say.

The Book Thief is so fantastic. It’s one of those books that I frequently forget to suggest to people, and then when I remember I’m like “how could I forget about that?!”

And I think everyone has an author they’re a tiny bit stalkerish about 😛

    1. Agree with you about The Book Thief – Its unassumingly brilliant! Hope you get of your slump soon!
      Laura 🙂

  2. The Night Circus, The Book Thief, & Alice in Wonderland are ones I own and really want to read soon. Daughter of Smoke & Bone and How to Be a Woman also look really good. Great List!

I’m also a new blogger & I’m really glad I’ve found yours — love your blog name (I’m such a tea junkie!)

  3. Nice List, Alice in Wonderland- a classic! Daughter of Smoke & Bone was easily my favorite read of 2012! And I have The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland…sitting atop my pile of books by the couch 🙂 The Night Circus is pretty high on my ‘to-buy next’ list. Thanks for sharing 🙂

    Here’s my TTT post
